Sensory Processing Disorder, also referred to as Sensory Integration Dysfunction, is an intricate disorder that involves the way in which the sensory systems of a person’s body work. Students with this disorder may demonstrate behavioral difficulties, motor challenges, or even social/emotional issues. According to the Sensory Processing Disorder Foundation, “Sensory integration is a complicated process that takes place along nerve pathways from the body to the brain and vice versa. It allows individuals to process touch, feel and move effectively in their environment.” If your child is showing any of these signs, we’re here to help! Visit writesteps.com, or call 858–401–2677.
